Projekte Blended Learning
Collaborative Learning of Viewing and Decisionmaking Skills
Results
The intellectual outcomes will be presented during project Events and desseminated via a separate cLovid results website, the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform and OER-repositories\referitories (e.g. ORCA.nrw).
Intellectual Outcome (IO) | Description | Access to deliverables |
IO1. Training material for medical teachers to acquire digital pedagogical competencies | Training material for digital pedagogical competencies; (a) for flipped classroom courses with active and social activities in general; and (b) for supervising the online scenarios for microscopic pathology teaching with task-based and collaborative learning activities in particular.
IO2. High quality digital tool 1: WSI viewer that can be integrated in assessment software | A digital tool for teaching microscopic pathology will be created that enables undergraduate medical students to work from home with a web-based open-source WSI viewer that can be integrated in assessment programs like VQuest.
IO3. High quality digital tool 2: Learning dashboard that can communicate with assessment software | The existing PRISMA learning dashboard will be adjusted and extended, so that it can communicate with the VQuest assessment program to support synchronous moderated discussions in regular proprietary videoconferencing systems.
IO4. High quality digital content for microscopic pathology flipped classroom course | Content for microscopic pathology teaching from a Finnish national project that modernized medical education through digitalisation (MEDigi project), will be elaborated for task-based assignments and small-group discussions in a fully online flipped classroom scenario.
IO5. Methodological framework with a good -practice example of an online flipped class-room scenario for microscopic pathology teaching | A methodological framework for teaching microscopic pathology online in a competency-based way, has to make the teaching process more flexible and enable teachers to go for blended scenarios or scale up to fully online scenarios, depending on the context and situation.
IO6. Evaluation and Research Reports on teacher training, end-user tests and pilot implementations of methodological framework with a good-practice example | Students and teachers evaluations will be used to measure the effectiveness, acceptability and feasibility of the developed solutions for educational practice. Users should be happy with the online flipped classroom scenario (additional educational power, advantages of working online etc), the high quality digital tools (ease of use etc) and high quality digital content (images, questions, learning material). Research findings have to add knowledge to educational theory.
